Tigers News · Three Saluda Tiger Football Players Named All-State

Congratulations to Kelijiha Brown, Demond Johnson, and Noah Bell on being named to the High School Sports Report AA All-State Football team.

Kelijiha, a senior defensive lineman, finished the season with 67 tackles, 26 tackles for loss, and 7.5 sacks.  Kelijiha finished his career representing Saluda in the Shrine Bowl All-Star game.  Kelijiha graduated in December and is currently enrolled at Wake Forest University and playing football.

Demond , a senior linebacker, finished the season with a team high 95 tackles.  He also had two interceptions and two fumble recoveries.  In limited action, Demond averaged over 15 yards a touch on offense and scored two touchdowns.  Demond finished his career representing Saluda in the North-South All-Star game.  Demond will be playing football next season at Newberry College.

Noah, a sophomore quarterback, finished the season with a school record 2,148 yards passing and 19 touchdowns.  He was also the team’s leading rusher with 563 yards and 17 touchdowns.
